NEW SCREWDRIVER
The predominance of machine screws, as opposed to wood screws, in these types of work demands fingertip control as opposed to large continuous torque The dextro™ and dextro™ VDE both feature a long, fine neck for ultimate fingertip control and an ergonomically-shaped smooth, round head allowing them to pivot easily and comfortably in the palm of the hand. The range also features Grip-Tip technology, where specially designed ribs positively engage with the screw slot to reduce the risk of Cam-out and slipping, making them ideal for fast and effective screw driving. For easy identification the entire dextro™ range is colour coded with the tip type marked on the end of each handle. It is also the only screwdriver range optimised for machine screws in a sea of general purpose handles that offer nothing more than a compromise to the end user.

Types of screwdrivers
Different types of screwdriver in short:
1.Flat Blade Screwdriver- The flat blade screwdriver was the first developed and was used in the early 1800s
2.Phillips Head Screwdrivers-This is possibly the second most common type of screw, with an x-shaped head that matches the X on the head of the screw. Invented by Henry Phillips and patented in the 1930s.
3.
Less Common Household Screwdrivers
• Square shank screwdrivers
• Clutch head screwdrivers—fit a butterfly-shaped screw
• Torx™ screwdrivers—a star-shaped screw and driver tip, used in some seatbelt systems• Scrulox™ screwdrivers—feature a square drive
• Robertson™ screwdrivers—feature a square tip with a slight taper

A brief history of screwdrivers
Around the first century, screw shaped tools became common, however, historians do not know who invented the first. Early screws were made from wood and were used in wine presses, olive oil presses, and for pressing clothes. Metal screws and nuts used to fasten two objects together first appeared in the fifteenth century.
In 1700's, a instrument maker, Jesse Ramsden invented the first satisfactory screw-cutting lathe. In 1744, the flat-bladed bit for the carpenter's brace was invented, the precursor to the first simple screwdriver. Handheld screwdrivers first appeared after 1800.

Screwdrivers-Basic info
A screwdriver is a device designed for the insertion and tightening of screws. A screwdriver is made up of a head (also known as the tip), which is used to tighten the screws and a handle of a size and shape to be held by a human hand. The head of a screwdriver can be rotated manually or by an electronic motor.
